O2 narrow gauge log car kit
This kit is simple to assemble. It comes in numerous parts, so that you can adjust the length from about 16’ up to 30’. Parts are included for a brake wheel and brake levers. Screws for installation of the trucks and couplers are also supplied.
As with all of our On30 models, this kit has no prototype, but was simply designed keeping in mind prototype practices, ease of manufacture and logic. CAD modeling was used to design the kit, and CNC milling was used to create the masters.
This kit requires Kadee #5 or equivalent couplers. You are required to provide trucks for this kit as well, the kit is designed to accept Tichy #3022 (1 pair pkg) or #3035 (10 pair pkg). The HO scale 33” wheelsets that come with these trucks seem a little small, so substitute NWSL #37119-4 (6 axles) or JayBee# 109 (4 axles). The models coupler pockets will accept either Kadee #153 “whisker” couplers or McHenry couplers.
Tools and supplies required to build the model kit are hobby knife, pin vise, #79 and 1/16” drill bits, 400 grit sandpaper, and CA glue.
