O4 Type A 4 wheel Climax Locomotive Kit
This kit comes complete with motor with worm and flywheel installed, electrical wire, wheel sets, gears, resin parts for the cosmetic components, and wire for handrails and grab irons. The model has working connecting rods and gearing. It runs very smoothly and quietly.
This model has no real prototype, but it is designed along the lines of very early Climax 4 wheel locomotives. I designed it as I went along, keeping in mind the standard size of personnel, loading gauges, equipment, etc. CNC milling was used to create a lot of the pattern work.
Tools and supplies required to build the model kit are hobby knife, pin vise, #79 and 1/16” drill bits, 400 grit sandpaper, and CA glue.
